Five Million Dollar Project


On February 11, 2015, the Algerian Ministry of Fishing and Fishery Resources and the Korean International Cooperation Agency launched a $5 million program to develop fish and shrimp farming in Algeria.  The program, which will last until 2017, focuses on shrimp farming.


For its part, Korean will send 38 experts to Algeria to work on the development of the project.  The program will involve the training of around 60 Algerians, including administrative staff, researchers, fishermen and shrimp farmers, in addition to the organization of three conferences on the achieved results.
