Shrimp Imports from Vietnam


In 2012, Vietnam’s shrimp exports to Australia were valued at over $100 million, a 25.7 percent increase over 2011.  Through October 2013, Vietnam’s shrimp exports to Australia were 14.3 percent higher than in the same period of 2012.


According to the International Trade Centre (ITC), a joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations, through September 2013, Vietnam was the second largest supplier of processed shrimp to Australia after China and ranked fourth in supplying frozen shrimp to Australia.
