Novacq™ Increases Shrimp Growth Rate 30%

Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) has continued work with a new bioactive aquafeed ingredient Novacq™ (Patent Number AU200820188), derived from low-value plant waste.  Novacq™ has demonstrated a 30 percent increase in the growth rate of farmed shrimp compared with conventional fishmeal-based aquaculture feed products! This has been substantiated by on-farm trials with licensees in Australia and Asia.
