Job—Manager/Engineer for Shrimp Farm


The Seafresh Group Limited is the United Kingdom holding company of Seafresh Industry Public Company Limited of Thailand.  It’s looking for a well-rounded engineer to undertake a three-year assignment to manage all engineering-related aspects of its shrimp farming facilities (formerly Belize Aquaculture, Ltd.) in Belize.  It’s facilities include a maturation and larval rearing facility capable of producing 80-100 million postlarvae a month for its own farm and sales to third-party farms, a state-of-the-art intensive shrimp farm capable of producing 3,500 metric tons of shrimp a year and a shrimp processing facility that markets to retail clients in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:


• Proper upkeep and maintenance of all equipment (from hatchery to processing plant)

• Coordinating the work of 40 employees

• Planning and execution of capital expense projects ranging from the installation of high
volume pumps, high and low voltage electrical installations and shrimp cooking facilities

• Manage various food safety, inspection and certification programs


The successful candidate must have:


• A degree in Marine Engineering

• At least three years experience working with refrigeration, electrical and mechanical issues

• The ability to handle a large diverse workforce

• A proven track record of successful management in a challenging, fast paced environment
