Video—Octopus Taps Shrimp on the Shoulder

You know that old trick?  Standing next to your girlfriend, both of you facing the same direction, you secretly reach across her back and tap her on the opposite shoulder.  She quickly turns in that direction to see who it was and then breaks into a giggle when she realizes that it could be no one else but you.

Well scientists have discovered an octopus that does that to a shrimp with dramatically different results.  When the shrimp feels the tap, it attempts to vacate the scene and rushes right into the mouth of the octopus.  Don’t believe me!  Click on the link below and then scroll down to the video at the bottom of the page.
