Aquaculture Stewardship Council Certification

Translated by Google: The National Chamber of Aquaculture and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) are working with the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and the Dutch Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH) to certify shrimp farms in Ecuador.

WWF is setting up a pilot project to get the certification process started, which will be partially financed by IDH, especially with regard to consultancies, operations, training, analysis, specifications and audits.

Participants in the pilot project will be require to:

• Agree in writing to make investments in their farms

• Provide information on production and management practices on the farm
