The Fifteenth Ecuadorian Aquaculture and AquaExpo Conference

 

At the Fifteenth Ecuadorian Aquaculture and AquaExpo Conference, scheduled for Guayaquil, Ecuador, on October 18-23, 2013, Dr. Donald Lightner, the famed shrimp pathologist from the University of Arizona  (USA), will provide an update on early mortality syndrome (EMS).  Dr. Claude Boyd, a water quality expert from Auburn University (USA), will discuss management protocols for reducing the incidence of EMS/AHPNS, based on information collected in Vietnam through a project funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.  Dr. Craig Browdy, senior manager of global aquaculture research at Novus International (USA), a supplier of animal health and nutrition products, will speak on how to control bacterial infections.  And Marcos Moya, production manager of a 1,600-acre shrimp farm Sonora, Mexico, will discuss measures to combat EMS.
