Update—Hellenic Inland Shrimp Farm

Anastasios K. Katsarkas (a.katsarkas@shrimp.eu), Chief Executive Officer of Hellenic Inland Shrimp Farms, reports:

We are not operational yet.  We are on the lookout for investors.  Ours is a $4 million (€3 million) project.   Financing it is definitely not a walk in the park, especially in Greece, which is neck-deep in recession.

We currently have several small experimental tanks, which we use to test various aspects of our ideas and technologies.  Since mid-September 2014, we have been running a small, pilot, shrimp farming project with about 10,000 postlarvae purchased from Shrimp Improvement Systems in Florida.
