Shrimp Training Courses at CIBS

 

The Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture (CIBA) conducts training courses in brackishwater aquaculture that are offered to state and central government officials, faculty members and students of fisheries colleges and agricultural universities and farmers and entrepreneurs engaged in shellfish and finfish aquaculture activities.  Occasionally, it also offers brainstorming sessions, meetings for farmers, demonstrations, hands-on training, workshops and exhibitions.

 

Here is a list of its upcoming training courses:

 

1. July 21-25, 2015: Sustainable Brackishwater Aquaculture Practices.  West Bengal, 10 Students, $24.

 

2. July 20-25, 2015: Shrimp and Crab Breeding and Culture, Chennai, 10 Students, $47.

 

3. August 3-7, 2015: Soil and Water Management in Shrimp Aquaculture, Addressing Environmental and Climate Change Issues, Chennai, 6 Students, $39.

 

4. August 24-28, 2015: Scientific Shrimp Penaeus vannamei Farming, West Bengal, 10 Students, $27.

 

5. August 31–September 5, 2015:  Diagnosis and Suitable Control Measures of Brackishwater Fish and Shrimp Diseases, West Bengal, 6 Students, $28.

 

6. October 13-17, 2015: Better Management Practices in Shrimp Penaeus vannamei Farming, Chennai, 15 Students, $47.

 

7. November 17-21, 2015: Aquafeed Formulation and Feed Management in Brackishwater Aquaculture, West Bengal, 6 Students, $23.

 

8. December 15-19, 2015: Applications of Genetics and Biotechnology in Aquaculture, Chennai, 10 Students, $126.

 

9. January 20-29, 2016:  Advanced Training in Aquaculture Nutrition and Feed Technology, Chennai, 10 Students, $79.
