Nicaragua

Bans All Shrimp Imports

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has temporarily banned imports of all shrimp from Asia to prevent the spread of early mortality syndrome (EMS).

Ministerial Agreement No. 008-2013 prohibits imports of live, frozen, raw, cooked and boiled shrimp—along with imports of polychaetes, prebiotics and probiotics.
