Job, Skretting Aquaculture Research Center


The Skretting Aquaculture Research Centre (ARC), the global research organization for Skretting’s aquaculture feeds, has a position open in its Nutrition Department, located Stavanger, Norway.  The working language is English.


Main Tasks


• Manage and supervise a team of researchers in shrimp and warm water fish
  nutrition, including recruitment and development of staff

• Act as member of the extended management team focusing on business
  priorities and strategic planning

• Development and management of the ARC’s shrimp and warm water fish
  research portfolio, including development of new methodologies, in
  cooperation with the line manager

• Responsible for all ARC’s shrimp and warm water fish research projects,
  including regular follow ups with decision-making researchers

• Collaborate and interact with the Skretting’s marketing team to implement
  research results

• Develop strong networks with other Skretting companies and their suppliers

• Participate in the patenting process




• PhD in a relevant discipline and five years of business and/or research experience

• Proven record in the implementation of new nutritional technologies and concepts

• Management experience is preferable, but not a requirement

• A well-developed understanding of the nutritional requirements of fish and shrimp

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

• Good network relations with other researchers
