Arizona—Desert Sweet Shrimp Farm Still For Sale

The Desert Sweet Shrimp Farm (pictures and pond layout) is still for sale.  The farm has operated as both a specific pathogen free (SPF) broodstock facility and a SPF shrimp farm with a hatchery, a large postlarvae acclimation facility and 60 ponds designed to produce about a million pounds a year.  The facility has been involved in R&D with algae, shrimp feed and other products.  A very experience group of managers and employees is available to start the operation immediately.

The farm will be sold in portions or as a whole unit.  The farm meets organic standards and has been recognized for its sustainability by environmental groups.  Desert Sweet’s shrimp is well known in Phoenix and the Southwest and has a very loyal customer base.

The asking price for the farm has been lowered from $6.5 million to $6 million.
