Washington, DC—Dump the Dumping Duties

On February 1, 2005, the Department of Commerce announced dumping duties on imports of frozen warmwater shrimp from Brazil, China, India, Thailand and Vietnam.  On April 29, 2011, following the first, five-year review of the duties by Commerce and the International Trade Commission, Commerce issued a continuation of the dumping duties.

Now, the International Trade Commission is conducting the second five-year review of the duties to determine whether their revocation would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to the domestic shrimp industry.
