Hawaii—Job—Manager of Shrimp Nutrition Trials


Integrated Aquaculture International (IAI), a technology company that owns a Litopenaeus vannamei breeding center and farm in Kauai, Hawaii, USA, and operates a Penaeus monodon breeding center and farm in Brunei, has a position open for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in aquaculture, fisheries science, marine biology or animal science—or a minimum five years experience in aquaculture—to manage feeding trials.  The IAI shrimp nutrition program is focused on R&D to develop feed formulations and feed additives optimized for high-density culture systems.  Hands on experience in operating an aquaculture facility is a must.  Responsibilities will include preparation of experimental feeds, supervision of feeding trials, collection and computer input of data, rearing postlarval shrimp to the size needed for feeding trials, supervision of feed trial staff and preparing reports.


Closing Date: March 7, 2014.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Language: English speaking ability required.
