Quoc Viet First Shrimp Farm to Receive ASC Certification

 

Ngo Quoc Tuan, vice general director of Quoc Viet, the first shrimp farm to received an Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) eco-label, said, “ASC certification gives you market entry that offers new opportunities.  And, our customers now have the confidence that the shrimp they buy from us comes from a farm that meets the most rigorous global criteria for responsible farm production.”

 

In 2013, Quoc Viet exported 15,000 metric tons of shrimp, and in 2014, it hopes to export 20,000 tons.  It is currently in the process of expanding its processing plant to 25,000 tons for 2015.  Quoc Viet supplies customers in the United States, Japan, European Union, Australia, Canada, Korea and other countries.
